David Thompson is a senior portfolio manager and director of fixed income investing. His focus includes developing income-generating investment strategies and broad growth opportunities for individual clients. David joined North American Management from Hale and Dorr Capital Management and formerly was senior vice president and director of Municipal Bond Management at Fleet Investment Advisors and the director of funds management for BankBoston.
David serves as Director of the Fixed Income Management Society of Boston and is a member of The New York and Boston Societies of Security Analysts, Boston Municipal Bond Forum, Financial Analysts Federation (FAF), Boston Economics Club, Financial Planning Association, and the CFA Institute. David is a CFA® charter holder and received a BS/BA Denver University and an MBA from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
